You don't need a transformation programme. You need to find the one task your office does by hand every single day.
Start with the boring stuff
The best thing to automate is rarely impressive. It's invoice numbers, client onboarding packs, the Friday report someone assembles from three different screens, the follow-up email that works better when it actually goes out on time. The test is simple: a human does it the same way every time, and the rules fit on one page. If nobody enjoys the task and nobody needs to make a judgment call while doing it, it's a candidate.
Fix the gaps between your systems first
Most small businesses run five pieces of software that don't talk to each other. Accounting here, WhatsApp over there, a spreadsheet nobody fully trusts. Someone exports, someone retypes, and the mistakes you blame people for are really the handoffs. Move data between the systems instead. That's where the errors die.
Measure it or don't bother
Write down what the task costs today, in hours per week, before you touch it. After automating, measure hours saved, how often it breaks, and what it costs to keep running. If the numbers don't work out, that's a useful answer too. Plenty of automation projects quietly cost more than the problem they solve, and nobody ever checks.
This is the kind of work we do at Olorun Cloud. Bring us the boring task and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth automating.
